Something amazing on TV!

Have you been watching the "Bible" series on the History channel? It's been pretty amazing! Al and I have recorded each segment and have taken a couple of evenings for each one. We've already covered the period of time from Genesis to Judges...creation, Abraham's call by God, Moses leading the people out of Egypt, Joshua's taking them into the promised land, Samson, Samuel, the crowning of Saul as Israel's first king, David's victory over Goliath, and David's reign.

Tonight we'll watch the segment about Jesus. It's very timely for Easter and a great way to get the family together...although violent in parts. The producers claim that they tried to keep the "spirit of the Book" in these movies. Well, they are very "Hollywoodish" with certain characters such as Samson sounding just like Darth Vader. But, praise the Lord that the message of "trust in God" is coming through loud and clear.
