Open Before Returning!

Al’s sister recommended that we get a hand held infrared heat lamp to help with the healing of his ankle after the fusion surgery. “It’s good for sore muscles and stiff joints,” she said. 

We found the heat lamp online and ordered it, anticipating it to help speed up his recovery. But then a few days later, Ann emailed that the heat lamp had arrived but wasn’t what she had expected. She thought we should send ours back. That was what she was going to do.

When the Fed Ex truck pulled up with a package for us, I just told the driver that it was the wrong item. She cancelled the order and put it right back on the truck without our even opening it. That was easy! I thought.

Surprise…the very next day our mailman delivered another package from Amazon. I wondered what it could be and to my dismay discovered that it was the original heat lamp! So what was in the package which had come the day before? It was a mystery.

I called Amazon. Only one order was recorded from us in the past month and it was the little heat lamp. The customer service lady said to return it as well and not to worry about the first package. It would be refunded to whoever ordered it.  I learned a lesson... always open packages before returning!
