"Thanksgiving in action"..."con accion de gracias"

Our new "puppies" got a chance to run around the pond for the first time on their own this morning. Al and I wondered how they would do once the gate to their run was opened and they experienced the freedom of exploring without their leashes...and without us hanging on to them.
Well, they came out of their run like two streaks of lighting, jumping up on me with joy on their faces. Then, they took off down the path and raced around the yard multiple times. We found out quickly that TJ was better at coming back when we called! Teddy just pretended not to hear. After several minutes of running ahead of us, they were both finally cornered and their leashes were put on. Then they walked calmly with us to the back yard for breakfast.
I thought of this as I read Psalm 100 today and worked on memorizing it in Spanish. "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." (vs. 4 NIV) "Entrad por sus puertas con accion de gracias, por sus atrios con alabanza..." (vs. 4a) The words "con accion de gracias" caught my eye--a great word picture of thanksgiving in action, which Teddy and TJ demonstrated for us.  May I enter the Lord's presence with such exuberant joy daily!
