Six and a Half Answers to Prayer
When Al's mom (94) shared that she would love to have someone read the Bible to her, I decided to email some churches in her area. After doing a search on the internet, there were several that were very close to her retirement home. I emailed the various pastors and then waited for a response. Surely there was a member of one of those churches who would be willing to visit her occasionally and to read to her from the scriptures.
About a week later, a response came from a young man who had been contacted by his pastor. He was interested in visiting her and wanted some more information. We were planning on going out to Michigan to see Al's family in a few weeks. Perhaps we could get together...
In the meantime, Al's mom called and told us of a sweet family who came to see her. They sang, shared Bible verses and even prayed with her. She was delighted and very encouraged.

After we arrived in Michigan, we made arrangements to have dinner together at their home. It was a special evening of fellowship...and exciting to meet our six and one half answers to prayer.
(A new baby is due in January!) God is soooo good!
