From Key West to Miami

Today we started at mile 0 of US 1 in Key West and drove along the "Overseas Highway" about 125 miles to the mainland. A very scenic drive!
The route follows an old railroad track which is now used by hikers, bicyclists and birdies! Parts of it are in disrepair. It would have been a thrilling railroad ride, especially during a hurricane! In fact the hurricane of 1935 is what wiped out much of the track and ended that era.
This chart shows why the birds and fisherman like this old track!
We'll be flying home tomorrow, after a wonderful time here in Florida.
Thanks for sharing our journey and  thanks especially for your prayers!
